From Islam to Christ: Hafsa's Miraculous Healing

There's a section in Islam that believe in going to the grave at night and they'll dance on the grave. What? The Sufi Muslims. That's my family. They do blood sacrifices [music] for animals. If the girl is wearing the hijab to cover herself up, who is lusting after [music] the child? It's really disturbing, Ezekiel, if you think about it, because there's some girls that are wearing it as [music] young as 1 years old. So, there's no accountability for the men. If you have doubts, be quiet. [music] What is the meaning of life? Why am I here? And I continued to drink and drink and drink. I almost died. I heard Satan speak to me and he told me that he wouldn't even finish the word. Drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink. So, you can die and come with me. You're kidding me. That's what he said to me. And that scared me, but it didn't stop me. My body started shutting down. I look up and the whole room is dim and my ear started ringing and my body started leaning towards the left. And I knew that I was dying. And I just cried out and I said, "God, I don't want to die like this." And right away, I was healed. I was supposed to die in January 2020. I said, "Okay, there's a God." But I knew it wasn't Allah because I used to pray to Allah my whole life and he never answered me. [laughter] I didn't know at the time that Jesus is a healer. I pulled into a parking lot. I took off my seat belt and I just looked up at this guy. I heard Jesus speak to me. He said, "You can stop now. Everything you've been chasing." There was no mistaking that this could have been Allah. That could have been a prophet Muhammad [music] speaking. No. Every fiber of my being knew it was Jesus. It's almost [music] as if the presence of Jesus speaks the language of the soul. I knew I needed deliverance and I hear you come out of her right now in the name of Jesus. You have no authority out now. Something was punching me. So I threw up in Ezekiel. I drew up dark charcoal, black. My family's still Muslim. Satan wants you to go to hell. But this is his religion specifically. I believe most Muslims understand [music] that this is a false religion. But leaving and the consequences are just too harsh. Really, in some of these countries, you lose your life. Lord, speak to [music] your people. Wake your people up. He had what, like seven or eight wives. Yes. Including Aisha, who was nine. There's [music] a hadith that talks about how she was playing with dolls and he also thought he was possessed by a demon. Yes. That he was bewitched. Most Muslims don't know what's inside their Quran. They love their family [music] so much. They want to be a good Muslim woman. And many of them will spend their whole lives pretending. Once you leave now, you can save your children. You may be able to save your husband. But if you keep your mouth shut and you're taking everybody, including yourself, with you to hell. Pick up your cross and follow me. And the Lord reveals himself [music] to me. This is not a podcast. This is a deliverance ministry. God is going to deliver just as many, if not more, here than he does inside of [music] church buildings. And you got to keep giving yourself over to it. It's proving it to you over and over. And the weightiness of your anointing, the Lord says thousands will be delivered. I am so grateful to be here in the room today with my new sister. Chapter 2: Guest Background: Somali Refugee Story & Muslim Upbringing She's amazing. I found her on social media. I usually don't find people on social media, but I saw her going hard and I'm like, who is she and what did the Lord do in her life? When I got more of her story, I was just like, nah, you got to come through. We got to hear more. So grateful to have here with me Hapsa Emerman. Yes. Thank you so much for being here with me. Welcome to the We Need to Talk podcast. Thank you, Ezekiel. Thank you so much for inviting me, having me here to just share my testimony and the journey that I had encountered with Christ. Man, listen, this is not a small thing because I've had a brother that's come on and he shared his testimony coming from Islam to Christ, but it really highlighted his mother. But you you had an encounter with the Lord. You actually thought that you were going to be Muslim until the day that you died. Yes. But the Lord interrupted that. I want to go back to the beginning because this doesn't this doesn't just happen like God had to have his hand in the midst of your story from the beginning. So I just kind of want to know how did you arrive here? How did you become this child of God that we see? Right. So I grew up in a Muslim household. I'm first generation from Somalia. My dad was born in Ethiopia. My mother was born in Somalia. they immigrated here in the in the 90s in 1993. Okay. I was the last one born there. I was born in a refugee camp in Kenya and prior to that during Why would you be in a refugee camp? Why? There was a big civil war in Somalia. There's a huge war that had broke had broken out. everyone just kind of fled to wherever they could at that time and Kenya was one country that was taking Somali in. Wow. Yeah. Okay. So, you're born in a refugee camp. Your parents were Muslim and you guys were living. I'm assuming it wasn't great conditions. No, not that I remembered. I was young. I came to the United States when I was 6 months old. But from what my parents told me and my siblings told me was that the conditions were just, you know, horrific. You know, war torn, people dying, illnesses, sickness. I lost a brother and a sister there. They passed away because they couldn't receive any medical attention. A brother and a sister. brother and his sister passed away. Actually, my my brother and I also were supposed to die there, but by the grace of God, you know, we just made it out in time and came to the United States. Whoa. Okay. So, what was life like in United States? You living in as a Muslim family, growing up as a young child. What was that like? Chapter 3: Cultural Clash Growing Up in America Growing up in the United States was difficult for me. There was always this tugofwar of like a battle, cultural battle. Okay. my parents wanted us to be Somali still and have our identity and know where we came from. So, I actually grew up speaking Somali first. That's my first language. Wow. And I didn't learn English until I went to school. That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, I just remember always thinking that like there's just no way that I can fit in with this culture. There's just no way. It was just a polar opposite of my home and my upbringing. And nobody was Muslim around you. There was a few, but not really. You know, I grew up in San Diego and there's not much diversity there. Yeah. So, I I I immediately knew that I was just I stuck out like a sore thumb. Okay. Talk about, you know, there are people that say that they're Muslim. at least their families are Muslim, but then there are loose Muslims that are more kind of regimented, strict Muslim. What What type of family were you in? Is was the religion something that your parents expected you guys to walk in or was it kind of a loose thing? My parents are very strict. They're very strict Muslims. They wanted us to remain Muslim because they were told back home that once your children arrived to the United States, they're going to become non-believers. [laughter] So they did everything in their power so that we don't become non-believers. So they took us to Islamic school. M we had a teacher Malin, they call it Malin in Arabic, that came to the house on the weekends and would teach us the Quran one- on- one. Yeah. Okay. So, you read the So, you read the Quran or you learned the Quran? I learned the Quran. I learned Arabic. not the language, just the memorization part of it because in order to pray in Islam, it has to be in Arabic. Chapter 4: Strict Muslim Household & Quran Memorization Huh. Yeah, it has. What about all the the African-American Muslims that are Muslim that don't know Arabic? No. No. The the the prayer language is Arabic. So, you're going to have to remember this. Repeat it. Just five prayers a day, repeating it just based off of your memory. Wait, wait, wait. So, the five prayers a day that they're praying are memorized prayers. Correct. All of them. All five of them. Ah, yeah. So, they're really kind of just like doing the duty of just reciting. Oh, no. They say those words. They say those words. When you see them kneeling down and getting back and kneeling down, they're all saying the same thing. All the same thing. It's completely just in Arabic. most of them don't know what they're saying. I'd say only the the Arabic speaking Muslims understand it because they speak the language. But everyone else, Asian Muslims, African-American Muslims, white Muslims, they are all just repeating Arabic and they have no idea what they're reciting. I don't believe it. Yeah. Yeah. It didn't even seem strange to me until I left Islam. I just I never thought about it. It's just like this is just sort of what you do. That's crazy to me. That's crazy. Okay. What about going and attending the mosque where you guys were attending? We would attend not as much as most Muslims would, but we would occasionally. Yes. Okay. And talk about the experience in the mosque. Like what is that like? So in the mosques it's separated. Chapter 5: Experiences in the Mosque & Treatment of Women There's it depends which one you go to, but most of them are separated. There's a men's room and a woman's room. the women's room is usually dark. It's usually much smaller than the men's rooms. if they are together, usually in the prayer room, the women are in the back. Yeah. So, the woman pray behind the men. So, you said it's dark. It's usually dark. Yeah. What is that about? They usually give them a room that, you know, was just like not even attach like part of the building. Usually, it's like attached to the building, but I don't think it was meant for a prayer room. Do you feel like Muslim women, like I don't want to disrespect anyone because you have family, but do they they have to kind of lower their self-esteem or self- value to to be a part or to be a good Muslim woman is really kind of to be unseen and to be unheard? Yes. Yes. So a woman that you know I guess is doing what you're doing now and is standing and even speaking online and sharing cuz I see Muslim Muslim women talking online. Is that shamed? It is. Yeah. You're bringing shame to the family to the family name. And you don't necessarily have to be speaking about anything like bad, you know. just speaking out at all. It's a very hush culture. they don't want people talking about what goes on. We got to there's so much that I want to talk about it. We got to talk about this part. But the the Chapter 6: Quran on Wife Beating & Women’s Role in the Quran, it talks about men being it's okay for men to hit their wives if they're acting up. It I'm I can't say that you experienced or saw any of this, but did you feel that dynamic? And what do you think that what do you think that how do you think women are able to kind of stomach and tolerate these types of things? Because that's actually in the Quran. It is. It is. It says that you know to try to speak with her first but if you feel like she's being disobedient and that should be the last resort then you can strike her lightly or gently whatever that means you know. But are women acting up to to deserve beats beatd downs like that? Most of the time, no. Most of the time they're already obedient. They're already submissive. So I don't, you know, understand that verse. but the women do justify it. They do. Muslim women, a lot of them, they they say, "Yes, it's right." They say that's what Allah will. So that's in the Quran. You don't question that. Allah knows best. You don't know more than Allah. Have you heard stories? Cuz I mean, let's just be honest. If if I I got to start going here before you start going to the conversion. I got to go here. There are stories. We talked about children and like I' I've seen videos that says yes, Muhammad married Chapter 7: Muhammad, Aisha & Justifications for Child Marriage Aisha at six and consummated the marriage at 8. Something crazy like that. Do you have you heard Muslims justifying this or saying we don't understand it? What do you hear? What's the sentiment? They justify it. They say that it's acceptable if she's menstruating, if she has her period because if she has her period, that means she's old enough to have a child. Therefore, she's an adult. And that our western standard is just bogus. like, you know, 18. Why 18? She has her period now. She's she's grown. That's how they view it. So, they viewed that she was in womanhood. That's how they justify it. Yes. And sometimes she doesn't even have to be menstruating. I'm sorry. I got girls, so it's that's hard to stomach. I know. I know. It's heartbre. Look at Iraq. What's going on in Iraq? They just legalized child marriage. What? Yeah, Iraq has legalized child marriage. I don't believe that. Yeah, I could I couldn't either, but this goes on all over the world and a lot of people don't know cuz we're we're sheltered, right? And it's disturbing, but we're sheltered and it happens. And I believe like with the with if Muslim religion is the dominant religion, then it gives that excuse. Well, if our great prophet did it, then why can't I? Yes, they do multip like they have multiple wives sometimes and one of the declarations is if you are they say the jihadists say that if Chapter 8: Heaven in Islam: 72 Virgins, Wine & Fleshly Rewards you fight or die for Islam then you're going to receive seven virgins. 72 virgins. 72 virgins that will always stay virgins. So they lose their virginity, then they get their virginity back, and then they lose their virginity to get their virgin. They're going to have a lifelong, you know, plethora of women. So this sounds like the reward for a sexolic fiend that wants a young girl, wants many young girls, right, to just take advantage of. Exactly. Why would that be the reward for holy sanctified men? There's nothing holy about it. 72 virgins, rivers of wine. No. Yes. Alcohol. Because Muslims can't drink, right? It's it's forbidden. It's they're not supposed to drink alcohol. But when they go to heaven, they're rewarded with this, you know, unlimited flowing alcohol. So, it's a lot of sex, it's a lot of alcohol, it's a lot of debauchery. And to me, that's that's not a heaven. So they get rewarded a drunk orgy basically that where they just could have all the sex and drink all they want. Yeah. But you can do that here on earth, right? If you want to. I mean that to me that's not a reward. That's not that's not heaven. That's not holy. Where's the the mentioning of, you know, spending time with Allah or spending time with God and getting to know his character and and getting to know him deeper? There's nothing like that. It's about just the flesh, fleshly desires and wants and needs and it's very worldly when you think about it because it's the same type of desires that the flesh has here. Come on. That's why Jesus said, "Get thee behind me, Satan." He says, "You're not concerned with the things of God, but the things of man." And so, that's how I could tell that Islam was invented by Satan because he created and delivered all of these things that would make men excited. Absolutely. your wives be quiet. You can, you know, beat them if you want. You can when the reward of dying for this and fighting for this is 72 virgins. So, someone who lives a life that's supposed to be, you know, you're supposed to be abstaining and living holy on earth, you've accustomed your life to trying to honor God with your body on earth. Where do you even get the desire later to want to sleep with 72 virgins? 72 perpetual virgins. Perpetual virgins that you keep on breaking their virginity for eternity. As a man that has a wife that loves his wife and these men have wives, they love their wives. Why would you why would your dream be to now sleep with 72 other women virgins as if like that's the desire for a man that loves God and loves his family. And you know, Ezekiel, this should be insulting to the Muslim men. Absolutely. It's degrading. Right. Right. It should be absolutely insulting. It is degrading. I'm sure there's Muslim men who probably think this like this is not even what I want. Really, I'm sure there has to be. But they're told that this is what you're supposed to want. This is what's going to make you happy. This is your heaven. Okay. So, let's let's we we got to talk about this. So when did you start making cuz in high school you're still Muslim. Chapter 9: When & Why She Started Questioning Islam When did the transition start happening? So the transition started happening when I moved out of my parents house at 19. I had moved out. I said I have enough. I had enough of this and I'm ready to start my life. Because by then I already made up my mind that Islam was false. Wait, how did you just come to that one day? You're just like Islam is false. Where how did you how did it get to that point? It was years of praying and trying to be a good Muslim and and devoting myself and my life to this and still not seeing my life improve. You know, when I was praying Ezekiel, it felt like I was praying into a void. There is no relationship with with God in Islam. You could talk to God and never hear his voice, never receive guidance. In for years, that was my life. So at that point, I had already g I'd have already given up. I knew Islam wasn't right, but I was so confused and I was so broken. I still believed in God. I always loved God, but I knew Allah wasn't true. Did you have any thought to believe in the Christian God or did it didn't even come to you at the time? No. No. Why? It just didn't. It didn't. I never thought about Christianity. That's heartbreaking. Yeah. Never thought about it. That's heartbreaking because it's like we don't we don't pray enough for the Muslim people because most of them are not even thinking about Christianity. That's crazy to me. I thought it was like you're like, Christianity, yeah, they're trash. Or I don't believe in Jesus the way they do. You don't you don't have those thoughts. No, not not when I left Islam. I I think most Muslims when they do leave Islam, they become agnostic or atheist. They usually don't go to another religion most of the time. That's what I've noticed. Yeah. Okay. So, you start to say, you know, this is there's no relationship here. Chapter 10: Leaving Islam, Identity Crisis & Double Life So, that must have been God putting a desire in you for more because many Muslims are satisfied with the void. Yeah. So for you to feel like this is not enough, I knew it wasn't enough. I wasn't. I needed answers. I needed a relationship. I needed peace and clarity. You know, my anxiety and my depression had gotten so bad. Ezekiel, talk about that. Like what do you mean? You know, when I left Islam, like I mentioned, my whole world got flipped upside down. Everything that I've ever known, everything that I was ever taught was a complete lie. My identity was a complete lie. So I had this double life. I wanted to be this good Muslim girl, but I wanted to be this American, you know, secular girl as well. And you just took Islam from me. So I lost my friends, I lost myself, my identity, I lost family. I went into complete complete isolation. And the world that I knew it was gone and I'm starting from scratch and I don't know which way to go. Mhm. So I went to the secular world. I said, "Okay, I'm going to go and do what I want for a change." Cuz I grew up so sheltered and silenced, by the way, and just broken. So, I partied and I drank and I lost my mind essentially. That's what happened. And I didn't realize that realize it at the time. I went to the world not knowing that that comes with its own issues. -oh. Chapter 11: Descent into Alcoholism (7 Years Daily Drinking) What do you mean by you lost your mind? Oh, I just hit the ground running. I've been caged. I was like a caged animal in the cages open. I ran I ran towards the world. Wow. So you were never transformed in that religion. Your heart wasn't changed because it was like you said a caged animal. That just meant the religion was a cage but you you were never transformed. You were never the good Muslim that they wanted you to be. You were just sinful but in a cage. Sinful going through the motions. M cuz what what's the other option? They're not going to accept you out there. You're just a little Muslim girl. They don't like you. That's what I was told. They don't like you. You're never going to be one of them. Stay here where you have community. Make it work. If you have doubts, be quiet. That's from Satan. Don't ask questions because in Islam you're told not to ask questions because it may cause doubt. Yes, this is in the Quran. The the in the Quran it says don't ask question. Quran do not ask questions because it may cause doubt and make you an unbeliever. We were told this. So you don't question. Wow. Okay. So you're you're drinking. I'm drinking. Talk about the drinking in part of you. In the beginning, Ezekiel, it was fun. It was fun. I made friends. I found out that people accepted me regardless if I was Muslim or not. I got to know people more just from a diverse standpoint. That humans are humans. Mhm. Regardless [clears throat] of their background or religion, we're all sort of seeking the same thing. M and I found peace and comfort in that for a little bit knowing that this thing that I was so sheltered from and scared of wasn't as scary as it seemed. So it was fun in the beginning, but I still had this depression and this darkness and anxiety of just not knowing who I am, what's my purpose, what is the meaning of life, why am I here? And I continued to drink and drink and drink and it got really bad. It got super bad. Things took a turn. What does super bad mean? I almost died. I almost lost my life because of alcohol. Really? Yes. I didn't know it at the time, but the enemy wanted my life. He wanted me dead. That's like strike two. He wanted to get you while you were a child in Kenya. He wanted to take you out with alcohol. Talk recount some of like cuz it sounds like you were drinking pretty a lot. Every day for seven years. I was drinking. That's not possible to drink every day. It was possible for me. Yeah. Every day for seven years. When you're self-medicating and you have Satan after you, he's going to make you he's going to make you drink. It got to the point where I would walk to the liquor store and I'm seeing my feet moving towards the liquor store. My mind saying, "Turn around. Turn around. You can't do this to yourself. You can't keep drinking." But my legs kept walking to the liquor store. 6:00 a.m. waiting for it to open. Wait, hold on. 6:00 a.m. in the morning. I was drinking around the clock. I couldn't stop. Chapter 12: Demonic Encounter & Voice of Satan You know what's really crazy to me? Well, two things. This is the second time I I've heard this in the re with my recent interviews. How the enemy will get you in a position where in your heart, in your spirit, you don't want to do something. Yet, he could command your flesh. you give him access to command your flesh where you're doing what you don't want to do that that Romans 7. But then also like I feel like it's so sad how the enemy will trick you into thinking that your way of escape is to destroy yourself. Like every time we try to self-medicate, why is our self-medication option never to go to Jesus Christ? It's always find a way to show yourself. Go have sex with as many people as you want. Go drink. Go use drugs. Go hurt somebody. Hurt yourself. The enemy tricks us into self-destruction. So look at you like a young lady waking up early in the morning. Yeah. I It's hard to believe. It It was just a nightmare. It was a nightmare. I couldn't stop. And I knew something was wrong. that I knew something was after me because one morning I heard Satan speak to me and he told me drink and he was saying it so fast and so loud that he wouldn't even finish the word. He was drink like that. No. For about 10 or 15 minutes that went on and I finally said why? Why? And he said, "So you can drink and come with me. I'm exc." You're kidding me. That's what he said to me at 10:00 a.m. Broad daylight in my in my apartment. Broad daylight. Oh, that's why. Okay. No. Yeah. Yeah. And that scared me, but it didn't stop me even then. After that, I kept drinking. I've never heard anything like that before. So you can come with me. So you can come with me. And I knew that's not anywhere good, Satan. I know where you're going. And you knew that that was the enemy's voice. Oh, yes. Because it's the most scariest voice that I've ever heard in my life. And you know what it reminds me of? A lot of rappers use that voice in their songs. Like Eminem, I've heard that voice. Yeah. That's his voice. So these rappers are using Satan's voice in their in the music. That's why I don't I don't listen to secular music after that. I can't listen to rap anymore or a lot of secular music because of that that voice that they're using. And you kept going. And I kept going. I kept drinking until one day my body started shutting down. Chapter 13: Near-Death Experience & Miraculous Healing (2020) This was in 2020 during the pandemic. During the pandemic and right before CO really became COVID, before the lockdowns, this was in January. And I remember Ezekiel, I was upstairs and I haven't drank in about 4 days, which was good for me. So, I'm feeling good. I I I managed to have an appetite. I I got some cereal. I was drinking water. I could keep water down. And I was just scrolling on Facebook and I looked down at my phone and the screen is dark. You know how when you could take the brightness down? Yeah, that happened. And I thought, that's strange. I didn't touch my phone. I didn't turn down the brightness. What's going on? I look up and the whole room is dim like that. And then my ear started ringing and my body started leaning towards the left. What? And I knew that I was dying that my body was shutting down. My hearing was going out. My vision was going out. My heart was beating so fast. Do you do you know those cartoons like the cartoon bunny? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The eyes like my heart was doing that. My shirt was going up and down like that. And I just remember thinking really calmly like, "Oh, the heart's very strong and very powerful. That's interesting. Anyway, I'm dying." And I just cried out and I said, "God, I don't want to die like this. I would rather you put me in a car and I'll get in an accident. I die that way before I die like this." And right away I was healed in just healed. The vision started coming back. My hearing started coming back. My heart rate went back to normal. And before then I I did I called 911. So, I go to the hospital, they run all the tests, and they told me, "Ma'am, there's nothing wrong with you." I said, "Oh, I know. I I got to go. Can I go now?" I went to the gym. I worked out. I had an appetite like I've never had before. But I knew I said, "Okay, I was healed. I need to find out who that God was that answered my prayers." Wow. Come on. Because I also said in that prayer, I said, "If you get me out of the situation, I will never touch this stuff again. I will never have another drink." That was in 2020. I haven't had another drink. Actually, that day it was just removed that the desire was removed from me. I was just I don't think about it. What's that? Why would I do that? I don't. Yeah. Why? That's weird. Why would I drink that? Disgusting. Yeah. No. Absolutely. Heal. That's crazy. Full restoration from head to toe. From drinking every day. Drinking every day for seven years to it being removed from me like that. Well, not even thinking about it. Why would I do that? Why would I do that? That's disgusting. That's how I That's how I thought about it. People don't realize like, oh, miracles don't happen. That is a miracle. People go through 12step programs. People go through re rehab and it still doesn't work. Yeah. Yeah. And someone just told me recently, alcohol is the one thing that you have to wean yourself off slowly. Yes. Yes. Because the withdrawal can kill you and it will kill you most of the time. No way. The with That's what I had. I believe I believe that I had the withdrawals and I I stopped cold turkey. I didn't know at the time you're not supposed to stop cold turkey. And that's that's why I know for a fact that I was supposed to die that day, Ezekiel. I was supposed to die in January 2020. So after that, I said, "Okay, there's a God. There's a God." I knew there was a God. I knew it wasn't Allah because I used to pray to Allah my whole life, and he never answered me. [laughter] But this God answered you right away. Chapter 14: First Personal Encounter with Jesus Right away. In a major way. It's not a little prayer. Hey God, I need the job. No, God, I need you to save my life. I'm dying. Please. And I didn't know at the time that Jesus is a healer. Remember, I I didn't know anything about Jesus. I don't know a thing about Jesus. Because Allah is not a healer. No. Do people pray to Allah for healing? They do, but doesn't mean they're going to get it. [laughter] [sighs and gasps] Wow. But I got my healing. So, a few months after that, I was driving and I pulled over into a parking lot and just not knowing why. I just was like, "Okay, I guess we're going to do this." I pulled into a parking lot. I took off my seat belt and I just looked up at the sky and I was filled with gratitude because at this time I I mean, I've been sober for like two or three months at this point and I'm just happy. Mind you, the rest of the world is going through it right now, right? This is we're in the pandemic. Everything's shut down. This is the happiest I ever been. Wow. And I'm looking up at the sky and I'm saying, "God, thank you so much for for getting me out of that situation and I'm healthy and I'm and I'm happy and I don't and I'm not drinking. It's a miracle. I'm just happy. I'm not drinking." And I heard Jesus speak to me and I knew it was Jesus. He didn't have to announce who he was. This is the third time I've heard this like this. I knew it was Jesus. One man said Jesus didn't have to announce himself. His presence was the announcement. That's how he said it. That's good. Keep going. Sorry. Yes. And he told me, he said, "You can stop now. You can stop now. It's done. Everything you've been chasing, everything you've been looking for, the money, the success, the belonging, the friends, the relationships, you can stop. None of those things are going to fill you. I'm going to fill that God-sized hole that you have and it's done. Stop searching. You don't have to search anymore. And like I just remember cuz that's all I ever wanted to hear was that you can stop. You know, it's done. And I always wanted to know who this is. Is the voice I've been wanting to hear. My spirit was jumping for joy. Wow. So I said, "This is my creator speaking. Wow." And that's all I ever wanted to hear. And there's a piece that came over me and a knowing like, "Yeah, I'm going to be okay. Like I'm okay now. I I know you now and I want to get to know you." That's that's what I was thinking. I I want to get to know you now and I'm ready. There was no mistaking that this could have been Allah. That could have been a prophet Muhammad speaking through some No. This you know it's Jesus when he's speaking to you. Was it because you were in church listening to sermons? And I've never stepped foot in a church. I was 26 years old at that time. Never stepped foot in a church. I wasn't thinking about Jesus. Wasn't checking for Jesus. Never heard about Jesus. But you knew it was Jesus. Every fiber of my being knew it was Jesus. My spirit knew it was Jesus. That's very, very interesting that you say that. It's almost as if the presence of Jesus speaks the language of the soul. Like when you said, "My spirit knew it was Jesus. He didn't even have Chapter 15: Confirming It Was Jesus (Never Been to Church) to announce himself." Like that's my maker. I don't know, man. It's almost like I don't know. You think like a baby when a baby knows its mother's body that just is so beautiful to me that you spent years in a whole different religion. You spent seven other years chasing and somehow you encounter a being that no one had to teach you. You weren't in church. You didn't watch We need to talk nothing. And you knew that it was Jesus and he spoke to your soul and you felt this peace. You didn't know that Jesus offered the peace that passes all understanding. No. What did you want to do in that moment? Cry. Just cry. Tears of joy, happiness. I was already grateful, but that just made me feel I mean I was flying. It's so crazy. So, it's like the person that saved your life, you wanted to hear from him again. You wanted him to do something in your life and then he told you you can stop. And that was all you needed to hear. I needed to know who God was. Who was that that saved me that day? Who was it? H is it Buddha? Maybe was it Allah? Was it I don't who was it? But I knew whoever whichever god that was is the true God. And it was unmistakable. The same way you knew that that was Satan's voice. Yeah. You just know it's Jesus. That's Jesus. Oh yeah, that's Jesus. It scared me because I'm like, how do I How do I know that's Jesus? I don't know, but that's Jesus. But I don't That's Jesus. That's so crazy. And I and I wasn't thinking about Jesus because, you know, in Islam, we were always told that Jesus was a prophet just like all the other prophets. He's not special. You know, he's just a prophet. So, you didn't think that Jesus could even answer prayers? No. No. It's blasphemous to think that Jesus is God in Islam. He's just like another prophet. Nothing special about him. We don't talk about him. That's crazy. That's amazing. So when he's in my car and he's speaking to me and he didn't say there was nothing in me that said, "Oh, this is a prophet speaking." No, this is God speaking. So no one can argue with you and tell you that Jesus is not the one, the true and living God. No one. No. No one can. Nope. I know for a fact that Jesus is Lord and he's God. See, this is what I be trying to tell people. Listen, I want everybody to encounter God like you encounter God [laughter] because there's nothing like you could argue, you could argue, you could try to show your stance, show your argument, but when like you said, Jesus spoke the language of your soul. Yes. You can't there you can't listen to me. That type of faith, that's the faith that people live and die for. That's what I'm doing. And I said, "Okay." I mean, it's my prayer, Ezekiel, is that every single person has an encounter with Jesus because the world would look a lot different. Cuz once you have that encounter with him, that's it. You have the answers to life because now I know exactly what I'm doing here. I know who our creator is. I know our purpose. There's no fear. And there's nothing that I wish more for every single person on this earth to experience that. Wow. Okay. So, you had this encounter. Now, you still have a family that doesn't believe what you believe. You still have Chapter 16: Telling Family & Friends She Became Christian people that you left behind because of your Muslim faith. Did you start to talk to other people? You talked about we're gonna talk about how you used to be on social media and then you went to pivot. So before that what about your family? What about your friends? The people that you come from came from. Did you try to tell them about your experience? It took a long time Ezekiel because this is something huge for a Muslim to come out and not only say that I'm not Muslim anymore, but I'm a believer of Jesus Christ. That can cost you your life. I was already in isolation, but now going into this territory here, it's it's different. It's a different ballgame cuz now you're saying you're a Christian. Most of the time when people leave Islam and they go to Christianity, you keep it to yourself and you keep your mouth shut. Yes. And it's the unspoken rule. Leave if you want, but just don't let us hear about it. Because it's to me, Ezekiel, it's not a religion anymore. It's a cult. It has all of the same makings as a cult. And they don't want you coming back and trying to give anyone any ideas. Don't ask any questions. You leave. Leave. Don't come here and try to take anyone with you. That's when things can get dangerous. Wow. So, it took me at least like a year, a little over a year to even tell anyone in my family or my friends. I mean, I had to make sure that first of all, the Lord was was was working on me, right? He was healing me and he and I wanted to make sure that I did it at the right time and it wasn't impulsive. Mhm. So, it took time, but the first people that I told were my sisters and they were loving and accepting. Okay. You know, they still are, but a lot of people weren't. A lot of people weren't. What did they think? Oh, you lost your mind. Satan got you. No. Yeah. Satan got you. You left Islam. You let Satan get to you. But all these people they say Jesus is good. Jesus is the one we is the Messiah. That's what they say. Jesus is the Messiah. So for you to say now I have chosen Jesus. Why can't they be happy? They think it's blasphemy because Jesus is just a prophet in their eyes. There's only one Allah, one God. How can you believe in a Jesus? That's three. The Holy Spirit, right? There's the Holy Spirit, there's Jesus Christ, and then there's God up in heaven. They don't believe that there's a triune God. Yes. To them, they can't wrap their mind around that. It's completely blasphemous. How do you say that? There's no there's only one God. This Allah. He's one and that's it. And Muhammad is his prophet. H you follow the teachings and and practices of Muhammad. Anything outside of that is not true. Oh man. And they'll tell you, oh well Jesus said, you know, you're not supposed to worship him. He never said you were supposed to worship him. That's what they love to tell you. But that's not true. And Satan has the minds of Muslims. He has them completely all to himself like this to the point where even them thinking about Christianity is seen as a mistake. H it's not something you want to do. You don't want to go there. Don't even take your mind over there. They're so terrified of it. Really? Chapter 17: Why Islam Feels Like a Cult to Her Yeah. And that's how I know that this is from Satan because he doesn't want them saved. Ezekiel, he wants them. He wants them and he has them. And that's what I'm scared of is that cuz my my family is still Muslim. The people that I love are still Muslim. Even the people that are on my social media accounts, they're still Muslim. And they they're lost. When you post, what do they say? They tell me, "Leave us alone. Leave us alone. We don't want to hear it. Stop talking about it. Stop talking about it. That's I said this Satan doesn't want you to hear this message. Satan wants you to go to hell. He wants everyone to go to hell. But this is his religion specifically is one that he created. So he has them in a chokeold like I've never even seen before. Sometimes it it it scares me. How am I out of this thing? Why me? Because they don't make it out. And that's how I know that the Lord plucked me out of that religion so that I can be a voice for the ones who left and to bring as many out as possible. I want to talk to you about that because originally when you came out, you thought, you know, you were going to lead a quiet life and, you know, just keep it to yourself. Yes. What made you say, "Hey, look, I have to step out." I deleted my social media when I got saved and I said, "Okay, I'm just going to live my nice, quiet, peaceful life and be private because I didn't want to be persecuted cuz I know what happens to a lot of Muslims when they leave Islam. It's dangerous." And my privacy was number one. Wow. I'm already naturally, you know, a private person, but [clears throat] now even more so. Mhm. And I didn't want to be a target. I I didn't want to make myself a target, right? So everything was great. My life is very beautiful. I live a beautiful life, peaceful life. And I just thought, you know, if anyone is curious about Christianity or wants to leave Islam, they have the internet for that. You're going to figure it out if you want to. That was my stance. Or someone or someone else can tell them. You know, maybe some evangelist will get to them. [laughter] Yeah. And the Lord said, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I got you out of Islam so that you can go back and preach to these people and spread the gospel. That's why I got you out. Chapter 18: God’s Call to Share Testimony Publicly Wow. And I was terrified. I said, "Oh, God. I'm not that's not me. That you got to get get give that job to somebody else. Give that job to someone else. I'm a scary cat." Wow. I'm a scary cat. And he said, "No, you're going to go. You're going to go online. You're going to share your testimony. You're going to tell the people what I did. You're going to mention how I saved your life. You're going to talk about all of it, including the alcoholism. And you're going to be as bold as a lion. Why do you think I mean, what do you think is significant about your story that will cause people to relate and say, "Well, no, I can relate to that. I can relate to what she went through. I think because of the turmoil and the pain and the suffering that I dealt with and the confusion and the double life is it's not a unique story, Ezekiel. There's there's a lot of Muslims who are living that life right now currently. Really, there's some that will spend their whole life like that. I know I know Muslims right now that are 50 years old that are married and have whole families and they're saying I want to leave this religion. No, I'm depressed. Yes. But they can't. No, man. Most of I believe most Muslims understand that this is a false religion, but leaving and the consequences are just too harsh. Really, it's dangerous. Ezekiel, you lose your family, you lose your friends. In some of these countries, you lose your life. Isn't it easier to just stay? That's the mindset that they have. It's just easier to just stay. But my question is to you, sure, you won't be persecuted if you stay right now, but what's going to happen to your soul after? There it is. Are you worried about your afterlife? Yes. and where you're going to go in your salvation. Because these people that you're pretending for, they're not going to get you into heaven. Your wife, your husband, your kids, your mom, your dad, they can't they can't get you into heaven. So, if you're staying in this religion for them knowing that it's false and some of them even know that Jesus is God. Huh? Yes. I speak with them all the time, Ezekiel. I get DMs all the time, every day. And these are Muslims in the Middle East, and I get it with them because you're in the Middle East. But they'll tell you, "Oh, yeah. I know Jesus is Lord. I read the Bible in private." Yes. Yes. But they're terrified of what their family is going to do. They're terrif they're terrified about their what their friends are going to do. They're terrified of the government. Jesus mercy. our prayers need to really shift because there was a time I just woke up and just burdened for those particular people because it's we're so desensitized to what people are going through that you're saying some people want to leave some people are curious about the Lord some people know Jesus is Lord but they're too afraid for their lives there was a 15-year-old girl and she Chapter 19: Heart for Muslims Still Trapped (Especially Women) lives in New York and she told me that when she was 14 or was she 13 years old that she started reading the Bible and listening to worship music and that she was so happy. She said, "For the first time in my life, I was so happy. I felt great. But her parents found out and they beat her and they told her, "We better not catch you listening to this music or reading that book and they took her to the mosque in New York. This is in the United States. It's happening." And I just my heart breaks. God, set your people free, Lord. The reason why you're on this podcast is because the Lord wants to set his people free. I don't want to break down crying, but it's like the Lord is really gearing up voices, raising up voices. He pulled you out for a reason, and there's a reason why he chose you to do what you're doing. Like, there's something that he wants to do in you. And we have to like we have to take it more urgent, take it more seriously as Christians. We got to be praying. We got to be praying. We can't be in our own bubble so much that we don't take it to the Lord because the Lord the same way you had that encounter. Many other people can have that encounter. That's what I just pray. I'm just like, Lord, speak to your people. Wake your people up. give them a a restlessness in that religion, in that cult, so they wake up and see with clear eyes. I want to like kind of deal with some of their theology, right? That the way that Muhammad got his revelation was like if you read the Quran and everything that happened, it was sketchy. like the fact that he said he saw an angel from the Lord and he was he wanted to commit suicide. He was so afraid and he didn't understand it. The angel told him to write and he didn't know how to write and it was just a lot of it just was giving demonic. I want to talk about just Muhammad as their prophet and I want to put holes in the cult of Islam. What are things that you've seen Chapter 20: Problems with Muhammad as the “Perfect Role Model” that are just like you this is as clear as day. This is not right. This is ungodly. Yes. So, Prophet Muhammad is supposed to be their ideal role model. He's supposedly the most perfect man that ever existed. Yes. and they're supposed to follow his lead. but if you look at Muhammad's life and the people and the wars that he's caused and the people that he's killed, it's absolutely insane. Yeah. With the amount of wreckage that he's caused. Yeah. The life that he's led to me is not an honorable one. It's not someone that I think anyone should want to model. In Islam, you can have up to four wives. That's what they say. He had what like seven or eight wives? Yes. Including Aisha who was nine in the Quran. And there's a hadith that talks about how she was playing with dolls. Wow. So how is this your perfect role model and someone's life who you're supposed to follow and look to? That's very concerning. H but many of them do. They believe that he is the most perfect man to exist and the most perfect man to walk this earth. But that revelation that you mentioned in the cave when they say the angel Gabriel was the one who supposedly came to him and g gave him that revelation. He asked him to read. Oh to read and Muhammad is was illiterate. He couldn't read. So he choked him. The angel the angel choked him and demanded that he read and he said I can't read. He ran for his life and ran to his wife Kadada one of the wives Kada. And he told her cover me. Cover me. I think something's wrong with me. And he wanted to kill himself. He wanted to jump off of a cliff. So they had to calm him down. When you read the Bible and angels come and speak with people, the first thing they tell them is, "Do not be afraid. Fear not. Fear not." Now, the person might feel startled, right? Because this is this is an angel that you've never seen anything, you know, in your life. You've never seen anything like it. But you don't feel fear. You don't feel terror. You don't feel like ending your life. And Muhammad did. And he also thought he was possessed by a demon. What? Yes. He believed that he was possessed many times. He would say that he was possessed by a demon. No. Yes. That he was bewitched. So he said this and people still ignore that and say, "Well, no, that's what he thought." But he was just that that wasn't angel Gabriel that gave him that revelation. They'll appear as an angel of light. Yes. The Bible also says that. And the Bible warns us that there's going to be a lot of false prophets and they'll tell you that an angel of light came and gave them this this divine revelation. The Bible warns us about this that there's going to be many false prophets after Jesus. And we have to be careful because it's not just Islam. We have the Mormonism, Joseph Smith. Yes. Another false religion we have I don't want to go there but [laughter] there's a lot of false religions and we have to be very weary of them. But the cat's 22 of Islam too is the Quran tells the people of Islam to follow the people of the gospel and to read their books because in there you'll find the truth. Speaks highly of Jesus. Like Jesus was a great Muslim. Jesus was a Muslim or like we love Jesus more than the Christians and things like that. Do you call Jesus the the prophet that the Quran calls a good prophet? Are you calling him a liar? And if you can't call him a liar, then you have to call him the truth. My ponytail that was low like this flipped forward and my body propelled like five 1 hour, 25 minutes, 32 secondsor six inches forward like a gushing mighty wind. And I felt this expansion inside me 1 hour, 25 minutes, 41 secondsand I said this was the Holy Spirit completely supernatural. I forgot that she had done that to me where she put the anointing oil on my lips.
